Is PC Sunshine Board a Good Material for Greenhouse Greenhouses
PC board is also called polycarbonate board, Caplong board. Weakly acid resistant, made from polycarbonate as the main component and using co extrusion technology CO-EXTRUSION, PC board is resistant to neutral oil, strong acid, and alkali. However, it has high temperature resistance, good daylighting effect, high transparency, light weight, impact resistance, sound insulation, heat insulation, fire resistance, aging resistance and other characteristics. It is a high-tech, extremely excellent comprehensive performance, energy-saving and environmental protection plastic plate, which is currently widely used in the world as a plastic building material, and has incomparable advantages over other building decoration materials (such as glass, plexiglass, etc.). Suzhou Ninlin New Material Technology Co.,ltd is manufacturer of pc board and professional to meet clients’s need based on their different requirements.
The commonly used greenhouse greenhouses nowadays mainly include plastic greenhouses, glass greenhouses, plastic greenhouses, etc. A plastic greenhouse is a non heated, single span arch roof structure greenhouse with plastic film as the covering material. A glass greenhouse is a greenhouse with glass as the transparent covering material, while a plastic greenhouse is a greenhouse with plastic sheets as the covering material. Among these three, the user acceptance ability of plastic greenhouses is much higher than that of glass greenhouses worldwide, becoming the mainstream of modern greenhouse development, especially PC solar panel greenhouses.
The construction of vegetable greenhouses is most indispensable for the installation of surface solar panels. The installation of solar panels on the surface of vegetable greenhouses can provide sufficient light for the vegetables inside the greenhouses. As the solar panels we produce are hollow and transparent, using them as the surface of vegetable greenhouses will be more stable, avoiding the damage of natural disasters to the greenhouses.
Plants require photosynthesis, and transparency is definitely the most important factor. The light transmittance of plastic greenhouses is only between 60% and 75%, which is indeed relatively low compared to glass and PC solar panels. PC solar panels have transparency comparable to glass, up to 89%. PC solar panels can also achieve a transmittance range of 0-89% by adjusting colors based on plants' preferences for sunlight, which ensures that plants receive appropriate and sufficient light.
To grow vegetables in different seasons, insulation is also important. Plastic greenhouses are generally not heated indoors and rely on the greenhouse effect to accumulate heat. Their minimum temperature is generally 1-2 ℃ higher than the outdoor temperature, and the average temperature is more than 3-10 ℃ higher, indicating limited insulation. Compared with glass, PC solar panel insulation has lower Heat transfer coefficient (K value) and better heat insulation. It is not too hot in the shed in summer, and it can be better maintained in winter by heating. Energy saving and heat preservation work together.
In terms of installation, plastic greenhouses are naturally the easiest to install and use due to their simple structure, which only uses plastic film as the covering material. And PC solar panel greenhouses are superior to glass greenhouses, thanks to the lightweight nature of PC solar panels, which weigh only 1/15 of the same thickness of glass. The lightweight materials also make installation easier. Furthermore, PC solar panels can be cold bent with a minimum bending radius of 175 times their plate thickness. This feature not only makes PC solar panels easy to install, but also meets the design requirements of greenhouse shapes.
Plants lack any resistance to natural disasters, and safety is also a factor that greenhouse materials need to consider. On this issue, plastic greenhouses can be said to have no effect, and the film will be at a loss in the face of strong winds. In terms of impact strength, PC solar panels are 250 times that of glass, 30 times that of organic glass, and 2-20 times that of tempered glass. Their wind pressure resistance performance reaches the first level of the national standard GB/T 7106-2008, and their toughness is strong enough to withstand strong winds in greenhouses. In addition, there is a possibility of glass bursting, where glass fragments can harm plants or people inside the greenhouse. PC solar panels have anti fracture properties, which can provide better protection.
Due to the high humidity and temperature difference inside the greenhouse in winter, condensation water is easily formed on the surface inside the greenhouse. This will lead to a decrease in light transmittance, a significant reduction in sunlight inside the greenhouse, and the drop of water droplets from the top will also affect the growth of indoor plants. High humidity inside the greenhouse will also increase the probability of pests and diseases occurring. Therefore, anti drip fog is crucial for protecting crop growth and increasing yield.
The hollow structure of the sunlight board is lightweight and can reduce the load on the greenhouse. Installing vegetable greenhouses with solar panels is simpler and more convenient (solar panels are made of polycarbonate as raw material and have a certain degree of flexibility). At the same time, they will provide a more peaceful growth environment for the vegetable crops in the greenhouses, which will bring greater returns to our vegetable farmers.
