Combustion performance and fire rating of polycarbonate board (solar board, endurance board)
The combustion performance of the sun board and endurance board is determined as HB. The main raw material of polycarbonate board (sunlight board, endurance board) is PC, which is divided into hollow board (sunlight board) and solid board (endurance board). The combustion performance of both are the same without adding flame retardant.
1. Can polycarbonate board (sunlight board, endurance board) burn?
After testing, polycarbonate board can burn.
2. Determination method of combustion grade of polycarbonate plate (sunlight plate, endurance plate):
According to GB/T2408-2008, the flammability of plastics is divided into HB, HB40, HB75, V0, V1, V2, 5VA and 5VB.
HB: the lowest flame retardant grade in UL94 standard. It is required that the burning rate of the sample with a thickness of 3 to 13 mm shall be less than 40 mm per minute; For samples less than 3 mm thick, the burning rate is less than 70 mm per minute; Or go out before the 100mm mark.
V-2: After two 10-second combustion tests on the sample, the flame goes out within 60 seconds. Flammables can fall.
V-1: After two 10-second combustion tests on the sample, the flame goes out within 60 seconds. No combustibles shall fall.
V-0: After two 10-second combustion tests on the sample, the flame goes out within 30 seconds. No combustibles shall fall.
Classification of combustion performance of building materials and products according to GB 8624-2012:
Class A: incombustible material
Class B1: refractory material
Class B2: combustible material
Class B3: flammable material
Fire rating test of solar panel: ignition
Fire rating test of solar panel: combustion process
Fire rating test of solar panel: self-extinguishing
3. Expansion: Do you know the physical properties of polycarbonate raw materials?
Density: 1.18-1.22 g/cm ^ 3
Linear expansion rate: 3.8 × 10^-5 cm/°C
Hot deformation temperature: 135 ° C to - 45 ° C
Polycarbonate is colorless, transparent, heat-resistant, impact-resistant, and has good mechanical and optical properties at normal use temperature. Compared with acrylic, polycarbonate has good impact resistance, high refractive index, good processability, and has UL94 V-2 flame retardance without additives. Polycarbonate is resistant to weak acid, weak alkali, neutral oil, but not UV light (UV antioxidant is required), and not strong alkali.
[Downstream products]: Currently, 22% of PCPC is used to produce solar panels, endurance panels, wave panels, hollow panels, etc. 30% of them are used for PC modification and electronic appliances. At present, the mainstream modification of polycarbonate is still PC/ABS alloy, light diffusion PC and PC dyeing. 15% is used for optical materials. 18% is used in the automobile industry.
