Project Overview

PC sheet, also known as polycarbonate board, is a comprehensive engineering material that is energy-saving and environmentally friendly. It plays a significant role in construction and is used frequently. There is not just one type of PC board, but two types, one is hollow polycarbonate sheet and the other is solid polycarbonate sheet.  Although they are both PC sheets,  they are still different in terms of structure, strength, transparency, self-cleaning, bending performance, and service life.

In terms of structure, it is different from the appearance. Sun panels are hollow and endurance boards are solid. This is the simplest way to distinguish them. The solar panel may have more than one layer and more than one hollow part, while the endurance board has only one layer and comes in various thicknesses.

In terms of strength, endurance panels with the same number of layers are stronger than solar panels and have stronger impact resistance. Sunglass awnings are more susceptible to damage and breakdown by falling objects than endurance panel awnings. Canopies made of endurance boards can also withstand level 11 storms, have stronger load-bearing capacity, and have higher wind and snow loads.

In terms of transparency, because the solar panel is hollow, it is equivalent to having two layers of panels on top and bottom. The light transmission is naturally not as good as the single-layer endurance board, and the transparency is not as high as the endurance board. If you want good lighting, it is more suitable to install an endurance panel canopy. , the transparency can be as high as 92%.

In terms of self-cleaning properties, endurance boards are smoother and have good self-cleaning properties. Dust is not easy to stick to the boards. Dust will also be taken away when it is windy and rainy. Choosing endurance board awnings will be cleaner and more worry-free. , The self-cleaning property of solar panels is low, and dust is easily accumulated to form mottled marks that affect the appearance, and it is not easy to clean and flush.

In terms of bending performance, the formed solar panels cannot bend greatly and are easily broken. However, the formed endurance panels can be rolled up for easy transportation and handling, and canopies with different curvatures can be transformed according to design requirements.

In terms of service life, the endurance board awning has an anti-ultraviolet UV coating, which delays the aging of the awning, does not discolor or become brittle, and can be used for more than 20 years. However, solar panels without UV coating are easy to age, discolor and become brittle. Many of them can no longer be used after a few years or even ten years.

This project uses colored frosted endurance boards to not only ensure the safety of the structure, but also ensure the quality, and the colorful appearance achieves the unity of vision and quality.
