Project Overview
PC sheets are divided into hollow polycarbonate sheets and solid polycarbonate sheets. The former is centrally controlled or multi-layered or double-layered, while the latter is a solid board. Today's aluminum profile equipment protective covers generally use PC boards as baffles. What are the advantages and functions of solid polycarbonate sheets in equipment protective covers?
1. Polycarbonate sheet has light transmittance: the light transmittance of PC board can reach up to 89%, which can be beautiful with glass.
2. PC board impact resistance: The impact strength is 250-300 times that of ordinary glass, 30 times that of acrylic boards of the same thickness, and 2-20 times that of tempered glass. There will be no cracks when dropped from two meters below with a 3kg hammer, and there will be no cracks. It is also known as "broken glass" and "ringing steel".
3. Polycarbonate sheet is anti-ultraviolet: One side of the PC board is coated with an anti-ultraviolet (UV) coating, and the other side has anti-condensation treatment, integrating the functions of anti-ultraviolet, heat insulation and anti-drip. It can block the passage of ultraviolet rays and is suitable for protecting valuable artworks and exhibits from ultraviolet damage.
4. PC sheet is light in weight: its specific gravity is only half that of glass, saving the cost of transportation, handling, installation and supporting frames.
5. PC sheet flame retardant: The national standard GB50222-95 confirms that PC boards are flame retardant to the first level, that is, B1 level. The PC board's own ignition point is 580 degrees Celsius. It will self-extinguish after being removed from the fire. It will not produce toxic gases when burning and will not contribute to the spread of the fire.
6. The PC sheet is flexible: it can be cold-bent at the construction site according to the design drawings, and installed into arches, semicircular roofs and windows. The minimum bending radius is 175 times the thickness of the plate used, and hot bending is also possible.
7. PC sheet has sound insulation: PC board has obvious sound insulation effect and has better sound insulation than glass and acrylic board of the same thickness. Under the same thickness, the sound insulation of PC board is 3-4DB higher than that of glass. . Internationally, it is the preferred material for highway noise barriers.
8. PC sheet is energy-saving: it keeps cool in summer and heat in winter. PC board has a thermal conductivity (K value) lower than ordinary glass and other plastics, and the heat insulation effect is 7%-25% higher than the same glass. PC board Thermal insulation is up to 49%. As a result, heat loss is greatly reduced, and it is an environmentally friendly material used in buildings with heating equipment.
9. PC sheet has temperature adaptability: PC board does not become cold brittle at -100°C, does not soften at 135°C, and has no significant changes in its mechanics and mechanical properties in harsh environments.
